barton springs engagement

Austin Engagement Photographer

Engagement photos offer an authentic, unscripted glimpse into your lives together.  I’m a big fan of keeping the engagement session a little informal because it’s an opportunity to juxtapose your wedding day photos with day-in-the-life photos. I’ve had couples wash their dog for an engagement session (!) followed by ice cream cones at Sandy’s. I’ve met a couple for a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. I’ve been chest-deep in Barton Springs on a hot August day to get photos of my couple swimming. In that case, bringing my camera was nerve-wracking but worth it!

A candid, day-in-the-life engagement session can highlight spontaneous moments that feel authentic to the two of you. Sessions are fun + laid back. Whether we’re in Big Bend together or you two are cuddling on your couch, every location holds significance. The goal is to capture who you are together in life’s every day moments.
